What is the Curse of this Magickal Sword?

One day I was playing some generic action rpg or another on the 360 and I discovered the most amazing sword ever - light - fast - magic damage - lightning - flames - the works!

The only problem was that it was cursed! Every time I wanted to swing left - it would swing right and also vice versa. Then I would try to swing up and it would swing down - a complete inversion of my intention. As if my will were being fixed against an equally repulsive magnetic force. To make matters worse - I couldn't get rid of the sword no matter what I did. I was so frustrated that I nearly threw the controller across the room - how the hell could the devs design something this counter-intuitive!?

Had they never even tried their own product? I mean, the experience was completely asinine, but this was the only game I had at the time. So I struggled with that damn cursed sword for months. Until I finally got in the swing of thing - if you will pardon my pun - mastering evasion and completely pwning the game's fantasy kingdom.

Then one day my brother walks in and says, "What the hell are you doing? Dummy! Give me that! All you have to do is go to the config screen and turn off axis inversions. See? Sheeesh!"

He still won't let me forgot - I was 28, he was 15 - but the really funny thing is that to this day I can't play games any other way than backwards, upsidedown and inside out.

The riddle of steel?

It is not the sword, but the hand which wields IT - which is why our tools shape us as much as we shape them.

If flattery will get you everywhere...

...I think this site just made a pass at me! Please don't tell Keanu or Jet Li - wouldn't want them coming after me!

It's official folks!

I'm part of the zombie horde in The Darkest Dawn!

Big thanks everyone who participated in this experiment on Quora!

Based on your suggestions I successfully pitched my character as -

Leif Moore - Incongruous and possibly clueless viking hitchhiker suddenly caught in the middle of an unlikely northern Ontario zombie outbreak.

For anyone who might be interested you can find out more at Laps In Judgement Films.

I'm actually pretty excited to participating in this crowdfunded project - this sort of **** just doesn't happen in these parts very often! Also here is my original zombie audition video.

Thanks again to all me friends, fans, followers, foes and assorted family - I really couldn't do IT without you!

Ever Had a Wet Dilly!?

Find my first ever 3D animated GIF exclusively on MemeCenter! Had to download original MP4 from Facebook - upload to YouTube - re-upload to super sketchy GIF-maker then upload again to MemeCenter - where I proceeded to edit all 195 frames of this 15 second sequence more than half a dozen times - all-in-all about 3 days animating for this sequence thinking about Dani California the whole time.

Do you make chainmail and does aspect ratio drive you crazy?

Even a Mastermailler like myself has to admit that the vagaries of jump ring aspect ratio sometimes drive me crazy - especially with material spring-back - which is why I leave jump ring manufacturing to the professionals.

Combating these flusterations are some great software tools such as this handy-dandy chainmail/jewelry aspect ratio calculator capable of computing the inner diameter, wire diameter and aspect ratio of jump rings. This windows program also converts fractions to Metric (MM) and Imperial (inch) measurement and I supports both American (AWG) and Standard Wire Gauges (SWG).

Bravo to the developer for this awesome app and as always Chain-on!

What would you do if you only had $8 to spend @Microsoft !?

Received some suspected spam yesterday - turned out to be $8 whole bucks owing to a system glitch. The catch? We've got just under a month to spend IT. Waifu and I enjoy co-operative games - having crashed the hell out of a enough castles for several lifetimes on our 360 - and my PC is an elderly Windows 7.

So, what would you do in my position?
